Ron Deverman, NAEP President, was in attendance and offered encouraging words to our newly-formed association. Dr. Ernst gave a thought-provoking talk on the current state of the Chesapeake Bay and why a “dark green” environmental movement is necessary to revive it. In addition to giving a presentation, Dr. Ernst initiated a Q&A session and signed copies of his book, Fight for the Bay. The food, drink, and active networking that took place throughout the event created an energetic atmosphere and offered a great opportunity for attendees to introduce themselves to environmental professionals from many other organizations.
